First, thank you for coming to our gifting page, it means a lot to us that you’re interested in supporting us ❤️ We first want to acknowledge the huge expense that nearly every one of our guests in making to be at the celebration. That means the world to us and makes it possible for us to put on such a once-in-a-lifetime event for our loved ones. Second, we are interested in keeping our collective costs low, and so we are not accepting personal gifts to the two of us for this event. Really. Instead, you have one of three options below...

Donate to a travel fund for some of our guests
We both lived very far from many of our family and friends for most of our 20s without a lot of extra income, and it was tough to travel to celebrate our friends and family. We want to make it possible for each of our invitees that wants to make it this summer to not have finances be a barrier. Therefore, in lieu of a gift to us, you can make a donation to this travel fund. If the cost of travel is making it difficult for you to attend this summer, please reach out to us so we can figure out the best way to support you. Any leftover funds will be donated to a local organization in Thiviers or used to offset the carbon footprint of the event. Donate on the GoFundMe page here!

Donate to the HanGare, a community center in Thiviers
These past three years, Charlotte’s parents Kris & Annemie have invested a huge amount of time and money into starting a community center in Thiviers out of an abandoned rail yard hangar called the HanGare. It’s a non-profit managed by a board of volunteers, but is able to offer a “third space” beyond home and work where people can congregate over coffee, wellness classes, festivals, and co-working space. We will be hosting the Saturday potluck there after the farmer’s market in Thiviers so everyone will get a chance to see it. The HanGare relies on grants and subsidies to operate right now as the grow new revenue streams. In lieu of giving to us, you can make a donation to this fund for the HanGare to help them hire and retain employees to grow their offerings and build financial stability. It’s a way of giving back to the community of Thiviers that is hosting all of us for this celebration. Donate on the GoFundMe page here!

We will be relying heavily on our friends and family to make this celebration possible this summer with everything from decorating to cooking to curating experiences for others.
