Here you will find an outline of the activities of our celebration week, from the Welcome Drinks on Thursday evening August 28th up to the good-bye brunch on Sunday August 31st, 2025! These are still a work in progress, so check back here for more info later!

5-8pm Welcome Drinks

We will gather at the main venue for drinks and an apératif dînatoire to see everyone and catch up together! For clothing, think "summertime casual", like floral dress or a linen shirt. Bonus points if you can incorporate floral patterns or flowers into your outfit! Evenings in the Dordogne in August are usually 65-80°F / 18-26°C.

2-5pm Game Day

Come back to the Chateau for an afternoon of outdoor fun and games! Wear something athletic and cool you can move around in under the sun midday! Daytime highs in the Dordogne end of August are typically 75-85°F / 24-29°C and humid. But it's also cloudy and rainy about 1 in 3 days. Sorry!

7-11pm Open Mic Night on Love

The evening will hold an open mic night where the theme is love! Bring a song, a poem, a story, or whatever inspires you to share with everyone. We'll have a microphone and speaker, and we'll work on trying to find a keyboard and guitar for the musically inclined. It's purely optional to jump up to the mic, but we encourage you to nudge yourself out of your comfort zone :) For attire, the theme is flair and funk! 🌈✨ Break out your groovy socks, that weird shirt your friends tease you about, your beaver onesie, your sequin dress, your neon pink wig, those sunglasses that are way too big, your Kentucky Derby hat, your glitter, and your bell bottoms! 🪩 If you don't have something, you can rent fun second-hand clothes from a local non-profit called La Recyclerie in Thiviers.

10am-12pm Thiviers Farmer's Market

Thiviers has a nationally famous Farmer's Market, voted one of the best in all of France! We will be heading through for some local fruits and vegetable, French saucisson and cheeses, and maybe a coffee and baguette in the town center! Bring your appetite and wallet and join us! Wear whatever you'd like for a casual stroll through the town.

12-1pm Potluck Lunch at the HanGare

Bring your Farmer's Market goodies and walk on down to the HanGare, a former train station hangar recently converted into a community center, café, and wellness studio. It was co-founded by Charlotte's parents, Kris and Annemie, and it's a non-profit run by a board of volunteers that brings together people from Thiviers and the surrounding villages in an alcohol-free "third place" outside of work and home. Bring some food or drink from the Farmer's market to share with a few others so that together, there's plenty to go around. Informal attire, no need to go home and change after the market.

4-5pm Ceremony

We will have a non-traditional ceremony in the woods at Chateau Lagut. This is your chance to dress up if you'd like! Charlotte will be in a homemade green/orange dress and Isaiah in a green suit. We just ask that your outfit include a splash of color -- think rainbow or bright summer colors. Bonus points if your whole outfit is a splash of color!

5pm-8pm Drinks & Dinner

Following the ceremony, we'll have a cocktail hour followed by a dinner for all.

8pm-Sunrise The Dance Party of Your Lives

WIth bellies and hearts full, we'll dance late into night. Bring your dancing shoes and your spare batteries to get your groove on with us for a night to remember! Nighttime temps can cool down to 50-60°F / 10-15°C, so bring a spare layer in case.

11am-2pm Goodbye Brunch

Come join us on the final morning for a goodbye brunch! We expect that a lot of folks will need to leave to head home or catch a flight this day, so no pressure to stay for a while. By this point, everyone will know each other and be either hungover or sleepy, so just wear whatever is left in your suitecase, no judgement.
